Also look into Penzoil Platinum or Penzoil Ultra.

Agree 100%
I used M1 syn and OEM filters in my 05 sedan changing it every 3 to 3.5K.
Infiniti had to crack open the front of the engine because of a faulty sensor and they even commented on how clean the engine was. I had one of the salesmen that I know take me in to look and it was. Got some crappy phone cam pics. I've started getting the M1 jug and M1 filter when on sale at Autozone and have started requesting the longer OEM filter at Nissan due to reading that they were better (metal ends instead of cardboard like the shorter OEM).
BUT, I think the key is changing it frequently and using a good filter.
I also like the WIX filters that NAPA sells.

NOTE: If you DIY, keep all receipts for oil & filter as well as a log of date/mileage/service

Personally I would not use either...I have always ran Amsoil, which my G seems to love. The only other oil I would run would be Motul.

Oil Analysis charts proves that Catrol oil is pretty good. Even the GTX oil.

When compared to Moibil and Amsoil.
