hey guys i have an 07 G35 coupe im experiencing a thunking noise on start up and when i drive the car at all rpm's, the car has half the power it had before under WOT. its not a pinging or a ticking its more of a thunking. i called the dealershiper for an appointment since i am still under warrenty i was just hoping to find some answers on here before the car goes in next week. Thanks everyone.

 

Is it coming from under your hood? Maybe you have a torn motor mount and your motor is hopping around in the engine bay every time you give it gas. As far as thunking noises go, that's the first to come to my mind.

 

If it's running at half power and making noise DO NOT drive it before it goes into the shop. It sounds serious and you could really fvck up the engine if you continue to drive it.
