Bosch Icon raises wiper arm?

Hi all,

For those who has replace their wipers with the Bosch Icon, do you guys find that the wiper arms now sit higher than with stock wipers? High enough such that a GAP (1 finger width) can be observed between the wiper arm and the windshield. The Bosch Icon wipers themselves are in full contact with the windshield without obstruction. They clean and wipe great. However, my only grudge is that the wipers arms now sit higher with about 1 finger gap from the windshield.

Anyone else notice this?

I haven't used those, but that would annoy me also. Those lucky southern cal boys don't even need windshield wipers...

Ive never noticed this. I have the Bosch Icon's as well and think they are worth the money. They work really well. But like the guy said above I dont have have windshield wipers they in the trunk. Wiperless ftw!

I've noticed this too. It looks a bit awkward, but I just don't stare at it for too long. What I am disappointed with though is that for the price I expect the wipers to be coated like PIAA ones so that the water beads off the glass. I think for my next set (whenever that may be) I'm gonna either go back to PIAA super sporza silicones or forza hybrid (even though they don't make the 17" needed for coupes.. I just might insert an 18" instead).

Yeah, I noticed at first. I think the fact that the wiper frame is now gone makes it look even worse, but it's a small price to pay for a superior performing wiper IMO.

Same happens to me with the Valeo wipers. But that's why I only have them on in the rainy season and take the wiper arms off all together for the other 9 months of the year.

Ya I am really loving the effectiveness of the Bosch Icons. The only thing that bugged me was the 1 finger width gap between the wiper arm and the windshield. So I thought I'd ask. =)

Thanks for sharing all the comments everyone. =)
