Is this bad??

Ok so I noticed this today when I put my grill in. I do not know alot about cars but I saw this break in what looks to be the frame that holds the radiator in? Its the lower ride side next to the radiator....

edit: ok I dunno how to host pics so heres the link to the pic.

Im almost positive this car was in an accident before I bought it. The front end was re painted and they did a bad job on some parts so Im assuming it was hit in the front, maybe thats what caused it? Is this a big problem or no?

If that cracked, you might also have some frame damage elsewhere. I would go to a collision center to make sure your frame is still straight.

It can be repaired but a damaged frame will never be the same as an unaccidented frame.

Did you get the car inspected before buying?

Ugh, yes I did. I took it to my mechanic who Ive been going to for years and is also a family friend. They looked over the whole car. I dont know if this thing cracked after I bought it or what.

Depends how it was hit. If only front then probably rad support needs to be pulled out a little and no frame damage

I really hope it's something simple like that. Im hopefully getting it looked at on Friday by my bodyshop guy. I noticed today it pulls to the right and I just had an alignment done...

Find out if the radiator was replaced. If it wasn't then the accident probably wasn't that bad, and I wouldn't worry about it too much.

I had frame damage on my 91 Mustang Convertible once. It was repaired and the car actually drove straighter than before. If you get a good body shop they can repair it perfectly.

that doesn't seem that bad at all. those are easy to crack since they are just composite material anyway. My little cousin (17, new driver) ran his parents 04 g35 sedan up on a parking stopper... and then onto a curb that was behind it. He cracked that and the radiator, and scraped the bumper really good. Even a little accident can cause that. It may have not even been front end collision. Could just be like my cousin's screw up.

Thanks guys for the comments! Im getting it looked at tomorrow, but how would I tell if the radiator was replaced? The bodyshop guy I go to is the best Ive seen so if there is a problem I know he could fix it. Weird thing though like I mentioned above, what would cause the car do drift to the right? I just had an alignment done 3 weeks ago. When Im on a flat surface I put the wheel straight and let it go and it goes to the right fairly quickly.
