Burned by a nismo...
Sedans are a bit lighter than coupes so theoretically if the cars/engines put out exactly the same power and the drivers are exactly the same the sedan should be a tiny bit faster. It isn't a huge difference and is easily nulled by driver's skill, but you will see many sedan owners claim that they are much faster than coupes and have never lost and other crap.

You have two things working against you...1 you are automatic and will never keep up with a 6MT. 2 that Nismo Z has the VQ35HR rated at 305HP under the new SAE ratings...which is more like 330HP on the old SAE ratings (which your car is rated under). You stand no chance without boost.
On a side note sedans may be lighter, but they really are not fast either. Either way these cars are slow without boost.

No it is not correct, I am guessing you also have a 5at? I go heads up against new Zs all the time ad never got pulled as badly as the OP describes ( private area, no illegal street racing)
I have an 05 automatic g35 coupe. Z-tube, stillen y-pipe, tanabe cat back...I raced my friend that has an 08 350Z NISMO. He burned me...I kept up with him for about 5-6 seconds, then he pulled away. Should I have expected this? Or should i be mad? Im not really sure what to think...
Also when i let go of the brakes after i put the car in drive, i hear non stop squeaking. It seems as though the axle is making this sound...has this happened to anyone?
Thanks

JLO, just read your post lol nice
You figured me out man. I don't know how to drive my 6MT. The truth comes out. *suicide*
Correct way
I'm in an auto, so yes I am slow. Just wondering what you mean by "know how to drive"? No sarcasm, serious question... I know with different motors like a rotary, shift anywhere from 8 1/2 to 13 1/2 or a lil more, depending on the build. And pistons, the shift points are lower in the R's, correct? Probably gonna get blasted by everyone, but just wondering.... Inquiring minds wants know!!!

Wanna race? You probably bought the wrong car.
