Went w/ the Hankook's sizes: 245/35/R19 and 255/40/R19. Discount tire was cheaper than tire rack.

 

How is the road noise in comparison to a set of Michelin Pilot Sports? Does the softer sidewall yield better comfort?

 

I don't have them on my G yet, but I have had them on my M3 for around 3K miles now. My M3 came stock w/ the Michelin Pilot Sports and have to say that the Hankook's are very similar at about half the price. As far as road noise, I would call it a wash between the two tire brands...they both are considered to be quiet tires. The Hankook's are noticeably more quiet than my old set of Toyo T1R's. The softer sidewall on the Hankook's does make for a comfortable ride...this was the significant difference between them and the Toyo's. I couldn't believe how much more comfortable my M3 was w/ the Hankook's...I'm talking night and day!
