Not if you've swapped out your diff. Originally Posted by CandlestickPark

I'm taking SLICK for a drive this morning, when I get back I'll let you know exactly. You can bet what Marcus posted is on the $$, he's spent a few hours behind the wheel....

Yeah Id say its a lil less than 3k. It also depends on what your idle rpm is. Mine is exactly 1k.

My '04 AT at 70 (corrected for slightly larger diameter rear tires) = 2450
At 80 (corrected) = 2800.
If you're showing 3000 r.p.m. at 70 something isn't right. Your tachometer, or speedometer is off, or perhaps your transmission isn't shifting into fifth gear. Have you tried manually selecting fifth to verify it's operational?

All the gears works normal in manual mode, I have the stock differential. Is there a difference in gear ratio in a 04 and 06?

I should have clarified I was talking about stock gears. Since I've done the diff swap (3.3 to 3.5) I went from 2900 to 3250 or so at 80MPH.Registered User
is there a switch on the automatics to turn overdrive off? that's my only guess
