Drifting a 5at is easy, just make sure you have an open space, away from people or obstacle's you can hit.

Never drop the gear down from N while revving (you're just retarded if u do that)

Never use the E-brake (you're just retarded if u do that)

I'm new to drifting rwd's, I'm more used to quattros and 4wd drifts in rain or snow

But here's my first attempt at drifting the auto

I know it's a different generation but it should be the same concept. Also bear in mind we always have 30+ temp here and it NEVER rains, if u have rain then you shouldn't have any problem drifting da dirty minger

No it will not upshift, it will bounce off the rev limiter.

^ I guess you have no idea what a drift is.

That part will just make you slide a few feet.

I have to Differ.! i have a 5at.. with z suspension and i slide the **** out of the track.. turn vdc off get going to about 45ish and have fun.. no ebrake for us so yes powerover but learn to control your hand movements and steering.!

Auto drift yes is a lot harder but once you learn to drift in auto and swap to manual then you will be way better. My manual swap will be soon coming as its way overdue.!

obviously it would be just to initiate the drift. I put the link to aid someone in a 5AT initiate a slide using the e-brake without having to use the foot brake

others ways would be to
-quick direction change and gas and then modulate with counter steering
-braking hard to transfer weight, turn wheel into turn, gas a little to initiate slide cause rear is light (tricker to do cause of heel toeing)
-inertia as mentioned above

The hydraulic brake would definitely give someone another option to add to the above
