I know every time i DO make a purchase i think about its potential relevance to deterring me and my ultimate goal of finishing my G35. but yes, damn my gf holding me back from my true destiny (which is modding the G)

I made my g/f my wife and in the process had to sell the G. Is that horror story enough for you?

im divorced...is that enough of a horror story.....mainly more of the just spending to much time on my car and at car meets with buddies because its a passion of mine....she didnt agree to the passsion that I had and really didnt care to much....NEED to know before we met that I had a firebird that I modded like crazy....pic below and she knew what I liked and what I liked doing.
I still to this day bought anything and everything she wanted.

You got to be with a woman that understands or it won't work. But at the same time you can't spend more time and money on your car, not right.
Luckily my wife loves cars too and we both had blk on blk G35 coupes, both sold now.
But at times she gets pissed becuase I talk about cars too much...so I guess I have to keep that with the boys...she doesn't have the passion like me. It's in the blood, way of life.

So true, your significant other has to understand your hobbies and interests.

My girlfriend is a huge ricer. She constantly tries to get me to blow exorbitant amounts of money on my car. I recently was considering selling my entire Arc engine setup to do some upgrades to the living room, the boss said no.

I've spent $7k on my G in a year and MAYBE $700 on my bf in 3 years. He could say the same thing about me though.

I dont spend on her... you want something, you buy it...
2 way road in my theory... you and a job, I have a job. you have money, I have money.
you spend what you want, I spend what I want...
Some women are totally off the charts with gifts and such, I'm not with that. It's how I see it in my book.

I don't spend anything on my G. I'm paying it down to trade it in
Don't spend much on my girl either unless it's a special occasion. Next month is her b-day and it's going to be expensive!

I got married... and purchased the supercharger right away. 2 years later we have a 2 week old baby boy and my car is finished! Perfect timing. I just need new tires, clean the air filter, and maybe take the tint off my headlights.
