Reverse "click" sound
Reverse "click" sound
I have searched the forum but can't seem to find a definite answer. So here is the situation, I recently noticed that when I put the gear in reverse, I hear a "click" sound coming from the rear (I'm assuming that it is coming from the rear axel). This has just started to happen recently. I'm at 29,000mi on my '06 coupe and I doubt that this is a normal thing amongst G35's. Does anybody know what is causing this "click" sound? Has anybody experienced this?
Axle click, it's a well known problem and covered by warranty. To repair, the dealership will grease your axles and click goes bye bye. I think there is a TSB on it.

Looks like it only applies to 03-05 coupes?

Mine was serviced for the axle clicking. Its a common problem and does occur with the later models as well. Since you still under warranty, take it to the dealer and they will fix it for free.
