I think people understand that its just more the fact that its completely free and easy so why not give it a shot?

By all means, knock yourself out resetting the ECU. Im not trying to discourage anyone from doing it. It's recommended to do so after any changes you make to the car anyway. My post was more for people to not get their hopes too high and expect a noticeable difference by doing so.

I think I noticed a big difference because of the previous owner. It was too big a difference to my car NOT to share it or at least try and make others aware of this easy reset. I have been on this forum for months before buying my G35 and discovered it for the first time, only last night!

It makes sense that it would make a difference in your case. No offense, but there's been a sticky on this subject since 2003 .

No harm in reminding the new guys though . I recently reset my ecu a couple days ago myself, after changing my intake filter.

None taken. That is the same thread I got my info from. I happened to stumble upon it and wanted to let the new guys, like myself, know.

I found this information and gave credit to the user I got it from. It is from way back in the day and I am bringing this information to new users, like myself, that didn't know about it.

If you already know about it, I am sure you can appreciate my effort to inform other G35 owners that don't.

^The computer will eventually adjust to the way you drive. If you want, just disconnect the battery for a few minutes which should reset the entire system.
ECU=onboard computer that controls everything
