Window Tint: What did you pay, What % & did you get pulled over ?
#48
Well he didnt really lie to you....because the factory glass has a slight tint to it anyway. When I had my Maxima I had 15% but got pulled over once before and the cop hit me with the tint meter...he said it was rated at 11%. Then issued me a repair order
Needless to say...Ive got the G now...and 5% all the way around minus the windshield, because I have a black interior....

TELL US NOW! jk, I think you can get prescribed for something like people with sensitive eyes. So when the cops hands you the ticket, just go to court and show proof and get it dismissed.

I also have a doctors note but it does not work all the time. Most city cops dont car, but CHP gets hard-ons for tinted windows. You pretty much have to have a good reason like really sensitive eyes. And not all doctors will write out notes for tinted windows. unless you have been seeing the same doctor for years. In my case I have seen the same eye doctor for about 20 years

State law says 70% of light must be able to enter your vehicle in your front side windows. Rear windows can be painted black if you want. Windshield can have up to a 4" upper and/or lower "visor"
I ran 5% in my back windows of my old civic, 20% on the front sides, and 35% on the windshield. Around here if you don't drive like a dip**** you can get away with it. Planning on doing 5/20 on the new old G. I do it myself, usually pay about $20-30 in parts for everything, but i also get stuff at discount. Buddy of mine will do all 7 windows (windshield, front sides, rear sides, rear glass, and sunroof) for $250 in any shade with a 3 year warranty against bubbles.
