Tint interference with XM

I installed the OEM XM receiver a few weeks ago, stuck the very strong magnetic antenna to the rear deck inbetween the speakers. Did not want to mount it outside the car. Horrid receiption, loading, no signal all the fun stuff.

Today I had the 20% tint removed from the rear window and replaced with 50%. Have not had an issue with receiption all day. Was not expecting my XM to improve by improving my tint.

Different types of tint can cause this? Wondering if others had seen this.
