Rewrap leather on steering wheel?

rastaman, if I knew what year G35 you drove I might have an answer. The '06/'07 coupes had a fatter smaller diameter steering wheel. If mine was damaged that's what I'd replace it with making sure my airbag would fit of course. I'd start looking on our MARKETPLACE for anyone selling the newer model wheel or Nissan/Infiniti wrecking yards would be my second choice....

Ah damned...another reason to have spent a little bit more on an 06. lol.

I have a local upholstery shop quote $75 to sand it down and repaint the outer wheel. I know that the early steering wheels were really poorly made with some real crappy materials. For those that don't have severe wear, try shoe polish (don't laugh). It really works if not too worn. There are some posts on this subject.
