Hub Bearings/Feathered Tires Bad Sound.
I have noticed lately, when I come to a stop I hear a Woooo...woooo ... woo .woo woo woo sound.. I took it to my mechanic and he said it was the wheel bearings. He suggested that I take it to the dealer as it should be covered.
The dealer said they would have to determine the problem (and charge me to do so) and suggested that it was my tires feathering. They even put front rims from another G35 and test drove it.
Outcome: The HUB bearings were bad and they are COVERED by the powertrain warranty. They told me some of the sound was the tires and I should get new ones. I told them I would pass for now. They are also doing some side air bag recall. I do not owe a penny. They gave me an Altima loaner until tomorrow. (This thing sucks compared to my car.. we really are spoiled.)
Hope this info helps somebody!

The noise was super terrible with goodyear eagle f1's i had, ended up wearing the insides completely down to the belts. I checked the wheel bearing, thinking thats what it was, but they were fine. I replaced the tires with some General SHP's and the sound was completely eliminated.... for the first few thousand miles, now i can slowly hear it coming back.
Your wheel bearing may have been bad (doubt it), but the true noise is from the stupid setup on the front suspension that wears tires to hell. Next time i replace the fronts, i'm going with a non staggered setup so i can rotate them.

I KNEW somebody was going to post that video clip. When I was typing out the thread.. I could hear that black dude making that sound. I am picking up my car tonight. I will post the outcome on my 45 min drive back. My car also had a wurr sound at around 40mph.
I did a search and it was suggested to change the camber as close to 0 as possible BUT you will sacrifice some handling of your car.
