To the OP. 400hp might be a ball park figure IF YOUR TUNE is near perfect. Don't forget that.

The truth is the vq35 motors are built to output almost near peak perfection and others have said 400 may be a ball park number but even than the motor will only be able to handle that for some time before it would need to be overhauled.

I'm not sure why some of you guys are giving the OP a hard time. He only asked what the max power the engine could handle. He didn't say he wanted 2000hp or anything ridiculous like that. He is learning right now just like you had to learn it.

thanks man glad to see someone on here thats not an egotistical d-bagwhat about cams??? i heard they can be expensive for our car but are worth it, heard you nead an ecu upgrade to program the air ratio?

Your considering going FI and possibly using forged internals but worried about how much cams cost? You've got a lot of research to do. Yes cams are worth it if you have the money and a tune will be required.
