Nitrous/Tune Question

I'm looking at getting my car tuned via uprev e-mail program. I was wondering if I got my car tuned by them if it would affect my nitrous set up or hurt my car with it tuned and running nitrous.

My other question is if I add another bottle to my nitrous set up and connect them using a Y Fitment and open them at the same time for better and constant will that affect anything negatively?

Thanks for your help guys

you can have a map specifically for nitrous if you go uprev..so you could do your na tune w/ timing advance then your nitrous tune w/ timing retard.

If anything a tune should help. Not sure about the second question, I would intuitively think so but not sure...

2 bottles on at the same time will just take the same amount out of each bottle therefore making the nitrous last longer and hold good pressure for a longer period of time. What shot are you running?

Well how much more I'm running a 125 and I used my utec to tune I got 2 step colder plugs and retarded somethin like 10 degrees. The best advice I can give you is have someone that knows what they are doing tune your car and everything should go ok iv been running mine for about a month now and have had no problems

I've been looking at uprev for awhile now with there e-mail thing. Seems like people have gotten some good gains from it. I guess ill have them do a map for my nitrous shot and another map for na.

Do you think that I should do the E-mail program or just wait till I have time to find somewhere to dyno tune? I know it gives roughly the same gains just a dyno tune yields a tiny bit more

I think i'm gonna see if two bottles will give me a more constant hp before I upgrade the shot. The only reason I want more HP from the 55 is because it's never a true 55. (Probably because I don't have a bottle heater)

I would just go to an uprev tuner and have them custom tune your map to your particular set up..the main thing though is that you want to retard your timing for every 1.5-2 degrees for every 50 shot of nitrous..the standard uprev tune will advance your timing 2 degrees.

If there were any around me i'd go to one. I live in dallas and the closest one on there website is there actual shop in austin. that's why i'm limited to the e-mail because i don't have the time to drive 4 hours to do that.

i think you should take your time and drive the 4 hours.

4 hours of drive or blow your engine.

w/ a 55 shot you should be fine..all you really need to do is retard the timing and change the plugs.
