Help with battery going bad.

Can anyone help??? I just purchased a 2005 G35 coupe with 55k miles. When I got it I had to replace the Battery it looked like it was the oem battery and had and aftermarket alarm with no key fob so the alarm was going off all the time so it killed the battery. I removed all the alarm garbage and replaced the battery. Seven days later my wife and I was out of town car was running the and cranking fine we got out of the car and went in the store came out and battery was DEAD!!! Went to auto parts store where battery was purchased sure enough the battery had a dead cell. They replaced the battery and so far 3 days later everything seems to be ok. I am just wondering if there is a problem with these cars or did I just get the luck of the draw and get a bad new battery. And if there is a problem with them what could it be?

Sounds like a bad battery. My car sat for 3 weeks and started fine.

It's not uncommon for a brand new battery to die regardless of how much you spent or where you bought it....it happens!
