Is there a leak in my catch can or is this normal ??
There's no reason to replace a PCV valve. Pull it out and shake it, if it rattles then it's operating correctly. If it doesn't rattle freely put your finger over one end and fill with carb cleaner, shake it for a while....empty and blow it out. You're good for another 50K miles....I just gave you guys an "Old School" freebee and it didn't cost you a dime!

so the hissing and air sound should be normal than because it's obviously venting air into the tube .. I think my only issue now will be to make sure I do something about this hose .. i'm thinking maybe silicon hose that's rated for vacuum or just getting the steel braided .. it's probably normal to have a little more noise with the catch can installed than without right ?
awesome man, thanks for the info .. so even with the hose you use, do you hear normal noises from the PCV like a light hissing type noise ??
gave me hope and then took it right back HAHA
.. I'm thinking it's NOT a leak because when I opened the drain while the engine was running and vented the air it sounded MUCH louder .. this little "mod" is turning into a nightmare lol probably going to have to ask a mechanic tomorrow if he thinks the noise is normal or a leak .. i'm about to say eff this can and deal with this shltty pinging until I get rid of this pig

Update
so .. here's an update .. went to my local speed shop today .. when I popped my hood, BOTH hoses were collapsing AGAIN haha .. soo .. I'm settled with the fact that the slight hissing I hear is NORMAL noise and since my idle is not only good but the car feels like it pulls harder .. ALSO, I have yet to hear a ping today and it was a 90+ degree day with me lugging it hard in the low rpms to make the noise .. obviously that means nothing YET but I'm going to keep an eye on this for the next few weeks .. needless to say, the speed shop hooked me up with some steel braided hose that he said was AN -08 or whatever and DAMN that hose is way stiffer and feels mUCH better .. after driving a good 40 minutes, I popped the hood and felt the hoses .. they were SCORCHING HOT from this hot pig beast but still stiff and not collapsing :-) .. here are a few pics of the new setup and a pic of my rpms for someone to assume me that this idle is perfect .. thanks AGAIN ..
