Remove spacers before taking car to dealer for axle click?

I'm not sure if I'm experiencing the infamous "axle click" issue or not. Ive read a lot about it, and mine seems a bit different. If my windows are open I hear a clicking noise from the rear of the car every time I let the clutch out and during acceleration. Is this the axle click. I have an 05 coupe 6 speed and I know there is a TSB for this. I have an appt scheduled for Friday morning at the dealer, and Im wondering if I should remove my spacers before I go. I just dont want to get denied any potential warranty work because of the spacers. What do you guys think?

TIA

the clicking noise is a axle problem from not being lubricated .. has nothing to do with your hub assembly ..

its a known issue, i dont think spacers would void the warranty

I agree.

I've just heard a lot of horror stories from dealers voiding warranties for irrelevant modifications. I just want to make sure there is no chance they would say something about the spacers.

call the dealer as a random customer and ask if it will void the warranty lol

I would take them off...it's not much work and stealerships will find ANY excuse not to honour their warranty. Like "extending the track width is putting too much strain on the axles..."

That's exactly what I was thinking... I really don't want to though. I know it only takes about an hour, but I have a lot of other stuff to do tonight...

Is it not worth an hour of your time to make sure the stealership doesn't void your warranty for some useless excuse? You could take a chance, but don't come crying to us if they slam the door in your face. You asked our opinion....

Update:

I ended up taking them off and brought it in this morning. In the end I had to agree with you guys that it's better to be safe than sorry. I told them that I also wanted to have it checked for oil consumption at which point she stated that G's have never had problems with that. Okay... I said I'd like to do it just to be safe anyway.

I have a G37 sedan right now as a loaner. I was pretty surprised by the power of this thing. It seems much quicker than my car.

Just returned their call and talked to another service advisor. Apparently TSB's are not covered under powertrain warranty, just bumper to bumper. My bumper to bumper warranty is expired unfortunately. I haggled with them for a while though and they agreed to do it for no charge.

The dealer ended up doing it for me for free, and the clicking noise is now gone. Unfortunately after having the G37 loaner for a day, I now want to pick up a G37 coupe even though I've only had my G35 for about a month haha. That motor is so much more torquey and pulls waaaaaaaaaay harder than the 35!
