Brakes are one of the easier things to work on if you have some mechanical ability you can DIY and save yourself the cash. Here's a link to help you out, its much more gratifing than paying someone to do it.

I paid around $500 for Stoptech rotors and Hawk Performance Brake Pads; took it to my local nissan dealership and they installed it for $300 (however this was in Alabama). Just call and ask around

it seems easy enough, but i've never swapped out brakes or rotors myself. seeing how important they are it's really not something i'm comfortable doing haha.

grab one of your buddies who have done it before and they can walk you through it...its really not that difficult....take your time not to strip the bolts and you will be fine....

essentially those steps from that link displayed above will still work for an 03 g35 with brembo's correct?

I know a 350 and G's are ideally the same car. I just wanted to make sure seeing as I'm installing two new front rotors and pads this weekend.

Any help on this would be fantastic!

thanks,

Oh dude I'm actually going to replace my brake pads soon too.

Want to get together at a garage and change our brake pads together? it'll be my first time too, and I have a jack and jackstands.

I know the basics but I'm still going to have my laptop next to my side when I'm changing pads+rotors.

PM if you're interested

nissan only charged you $120 for labor? that's a GREAT deal..
i wouldn't fix your brakes for $120 of my time.

$0 - diy

EDIT: Just saw you had this done at a dealership, you easily could have done this yourself.
