Question Cleaning Upper Plenum?

Ive been trying to look for the thread on cleaning the upper plenum of the VQ . I took off the engine cover and it had caked on dust and other stuff. All i know is to use steel wool.

Thanks

You can use an abrasive degreaser with a brass wire brush or you can get one of these from me (with free install):

Let's assume (dislike that word) you're referring to what's under the engine cover which is the plenum? Do not use anything that requires you to use a hose/water! Any house hold cleaner like 409 and a rag is a good place to start then you could use steel wool if needed. Caution when replacing the engine cover, don't over tighten those 10MM nuts....just snug.
