HELP... CAR OVERHEATING

hey guys.. im am puzzled.. my car is not overheating every time i drive it... i checked the fluids and they were all fine... it only overheats when my car is in gear (driving around) when i rev it in neutral.. the temp stays the same... i opened up my bottom tray and saw some coolant spill out... any ideas on whats going on?.. its about 1 year old and my only mod that might affect it is my UR pulleys since it squeaks when the car overheats.. im guessin its from the coolant pouring on the belts... i really dont kno.. =(
my fan works... but im not sure if my water pump or radiator is workin

Re: HELP... CAR OVERHEATING

Sounds like a hose might be leaking...have you checked all your hoses? Maybe your water pump is slipping due to the belts?

Re: HELP... CAR OVERHEATING

maybe not your belt but how about the water pump itself? Usually you will see a hole on it and thats where it should be spewing it out.

Re: HELP... CAR OVERHEATING

Important that owners review their factory service manual, as the water pump is internal to engine and is driven by the cam chains!

What most know historically [external water pumps driven by a belt] doesn't apply!

Re: HELP... CAR OVERHEATING

Thanks for clearing this up Q45tech, I didn't know it was driven by the cam chains (I don't have a service manual
