Just tried Blksnakes fix and low and behold... it works!!!
Thanks for the tip man. Still kind of an odd problem though.

Add me to the list! Having the same problems! Going in for the new head unit tomorrow...I only prey that I have to do this once and never again...Ugh, what a piece of junk...If it starts happening again, I am going to contact Infiniti...I suggest someone contact infiniti and inform them that so many people are having this problem and they need to look into it!

My fix above failed to work this last go around... Frustrated I preformed a move on the left side of the headunit and everything worked fine once again. It's been over a week with no more problems, but the question is, will it last?!?!

I'm afraid since I installed aftermarket equipment (see link below) that the dealership won't take care of it under warranty. (sheesh...)

YEah im having the same problem.. My left speaker doesnt work when im on CD Mode. it first started with the speaker going off/on when i hit bumps, etc, but now its completely dead.. Btw both speakers work fine when im on FM mode.
I took the car to my dealership and they ordered a new radio system for me and they'll call me when it gets there..

Any tips on how i can fix this myself???

 

Add me to this already long list. It only cuts out on me when I'm playing CD's. Anyone ever find out what the realy problem is?

 

I believe its a problem with a loose connection in the back of the Bose radio. After taking out my stereo and tightening all cables i haven't had the problem come back yet and its been almost a few months now.

 

I had the same problem and the dealer had to replace my head unit and one speaker.

 

Is this problem only occurring for the '04s?

 

It's definitely the headunit. I've had it replaced already. Also...when I got the car back...it came back with millions of rattles. The service guy told me the bose headunit is poor quality and he doesn't know why infiniti uses it but probably because they got a good deal. He says they've replaced millions of them all the time. So...where can I get the double din?
