No, your exhaust tone will not change at all.
Do not cut your stock exhaust and weld titanium tips on them.
Most are just thin tips and welding it on would look hideous.
Plus, the tips themselves are $50+ for EACH, why not just add
a few hundred and get yourself a whole catback exaust system?

Actually, you can get the burnt titanium look with the stock tips. I forget what kind of gasses are used to burn them, but it is possible.

Things have changed I guess. I posted a thread back in '09 with the same idea but got called out as being ricer.

~$50 for the tip, these are the correct size I believe for stock catbacks: http://www.autobarn.net/rafltrslcute.html

Have to have your stock tips cut off and rewelded on.

lol if you like the stock exhaust rock it, don't be cutting and changing tips to make it look like "racer" and aftermarket if you aren't going to swap exhausts. nothing is wrong with the oem look,,,

I'm not even against this.

I don't run fake ****, so XO2 is outta the question and I don't want to drop $1800 on HKS.

The Z isn't my money pit.

Couldn't you just get just an aftermarket muffler that has the burnt tips you are looking for... instead of a whole new exhaust system?

Or just go on motordyneengineering.com and buy a set - they sell them by single units so you'd have to buy two, in my opinion their's look the best.

its been done on here, its not as bright blue as the aftermarket. Probably need a hotter heat source that a portable torch provides. Some g35driver guru should be able to find one pretty quickly on here. Remove the rear bumper, or the muffler before you try though!

Picture isn't showing up but it's probably just my iPhone screwing up. What'd you use to burn it?
