i bought my 2004 coupe 6mt with 38k miles for $12k with a rebuilt title. I bought it from my step-grandfather (?)...who owns several shops that rebuild totalled vehicles. The accident was minor and the work done was thorough and I am now driving a vehicle I could not otherwise afford as a 22 year old student. The rebuilt title doesnt mean anything beyond a voided warranty if you know the vehicle history, know the work that was done, and take good care of the car!

good luck with your G! - too bad you didnt get the 6 speed, its crazy fun :P

Check carfax to make sure you know why it was rebuilt and 8700 that is a damn steal! Nice, I would just stay ontop of your car and it should be fine for four years.

I had some bad experience with rebuilt title car, mainly are electrical problem and body problem. if your car does not have problems, it should be good. body problems are something.like bad alignment, water leak, ,odd noise, wind noise, paint issue.....etc p

Mine is an 05 auto coupe rebuild with 30,000 miles. Got it for $12k. The way I see it, if it clears out and you take care of it, you're good to go.

Coming from someone who has a business buying, fixing, and selling rebuilt title cars, I can assure you that you got a pretty good deal considering what options is came with and that everything was repaired correctly. If you had your mechanic to OK it then you should be fine. To put things into perspective, I have an 04 6MT IP coupe fully loaded with 70k miles that I'm selling for 12k. I do feel though it was kind of shady of them not letting you know from the beginning it had a rebuilt title. That's something I would never do. Personally, I would never buy a clear title car again. You throw so much money down the drain.

I don't think you'll find many forum members who paid less than you did for your G. Enjoy!
I paid $9000 for my clean title 03 6MT fully loaded( Navi, Bose, Brembo), single owner woth 72,000 miles last october........ (but had to haggle a lot, but i do what i gotta do lol

To OP: Did you buy it from a dealer? If yes and if he didn't tell you it was rebuilt....... You can take him to court

OK!!! I'll bite where did you get an 05 Coupe for $5,000? Whoever sold it to you must really have wanted to get rid of it bad. There's an old sying that comes to mind...you only get what you pay for.

From. A very desperate. Guy lol he traded his charger for the g35 He took it to the shop and they told him he needed a bunch of work done
U quess they quoted him alot. So he decided tp cut his losses and sell it.I spent around 1200. Fixing parts that where missing like ashtray and other crap. And. Both lower control arms and some other front end stuff that's it I took a gamble lol

if its running well then you got a good deal. rebuilt doesnt necessarily mean bad. and clean doesnt always mean good. at least with the rebuilt, you know its been brought back to factory specs.

Even clean titles have accidents that are not reported and/or isnt running as well as the rebuilt G you bought. Like other have said, if it checked out fine and is still running strong, $8700 is a good deal
