Questions on Fender and components
Questions on Fender and components
My engine undertray and passenger side fender liner/guard were ripped off. Couple questions.
1) Is the plastic piece the covers the backside of the headlight called the fender liner, or the fender guard?
2) How important is this? (my ballast went bad and some water got into the housing of the headlight afterwords, Coincidence? or is it because of the plastic piece)
3) Having trouble locating which piece it is and which side it is. Which would be considered passenger side, left or right? In the picture below, which one would be the piece that would cover the backside of the headlight, 6 or 7?

4) Do i need the undertray in order for this to be screwed in and sit properly? Or would it be fine without it.
5) Anything else that I should know THAT HAS TO DO with my thread topic?
**Keep in mind, i did a search, and couldnt find the answers to these questions.***

1) I call it fender liner
2) You want that piece there, thats most likely why your ballast went bad
3) #6
4) Yes. I had to cut part #6 practically in half so that it would not catch the wind and fly into the tire since I don't have an under tray. I kept it attached to protect the back of the headlight.

You want an undertray. It helps keep dirt and larger objects out of the engine bay, helps keep cool air coming in from the radiator in the engine bay, and helps with aerodynamics.
