is the g35 a classic?

I have owned a few cars in my life and for some reason the g35 is on of my favorites. I really like the g37 and plan to get one one day but I can't seem to let go of this car. My car is an 03 6mt which is now 7 years old but it still feels like the first day I got it.

Is there something special about the G or are we just fanboys.

A classic probably not, but it has definitely made a significant impact on the car industry. It's a popular car now and it helped Infiniti rise up.

Before I got the G, I had a VW GTI 20th anniv. After this car I drove the STI, and took a look at the EVO. Though these cars, having turbo stock could have had more potential. I passes it all up because G35's are sexy as hell...

I don't think it can be a classic. After all there's about a million of them on the road, and don't forget there's a sedan iteration of it too.

But I feel ya on the G37, the G35 is so raw and feels so much more alive on and connected to the road. The G37 is just another boat of a car outfitted with the latest gizmos IMO, and I can't bring myself to trade my G35 in.

The G35 will never be like a Supra... its still a nice car though, i get people asking me if its new and when i tell them its 5 years old they are shocked. i plan on keeping it for a good while

I think it has a great exterior design that will still look clean/classy for years to come. I'd use the word "elegant". Nice flowing lines, simple, yet graceful.

The NSX will be a classic, I doubt our G35s will reach that status....sadly!

It remains to be seen,I have been a musclecar guy since highschool and have had many, and 2 now...the older guys said in the days when the musclecars were around they wondered if they would become classics like Deusenbergs and the common answer was "well these cars are mass produced etc etc".
As time went on,attrition took place and very few are left..so I guess we won't know until some years from now.
In my opinion, the G coupe and Z stand above the jelly beans..P.S. the Z cars from back in the day have a definite following, food for thought...Fish
