i've been scammed outta 480.00 from another user on the forum... by the name of beej... i was wondering what do i do as a user???? any suggestions please...

"I bought a hood, bumper, and rebar from another user on this forum by the name of beej and still havent recieved nothing... i bought them on 7/27 and all i get is a run around she claims that it was sent to my address but it was sent to a wrong address using 7-10 business days ( with no tracking number, no insurance) so supposidly it got sent back to cali, and the post office had lost the items while it was being returned, STILL nothing... now i asked her to mail my money back to me, and she hasnt replied to none of my pms from the 16th of this month... the total amount for my hood and bumper was $480.00"

 

If the stuff was supposedly sent through the US Post Office, maybe you can get her for federal postal fraud. If it was sent via UPS or FEDEX, give them a call and find out if there's anyway to track the item. Otherwise, talk to an attorney (preferably a friend who won't cost you anything) and find out if you can sue in small claims here in California.

 

thanks.. i will call usps tomarrow and find out what i can do... she never gave me a tracking number or any numbers all i have is her name address and phone number...

 

Contact one of the moderators as they may have additional information on this person and can put a warning out to the rest of the forum users so this doesn't happen again (at least with that person's user name).

You may also want to contact your local law enforcement people.

How did you pay, i was scammed froms ome guy on the parts/accesories also out of a 150$ grounding kit like 6 months ago, gsedanman was trying to help me out but nothing ever happened, so i said **** it!! If you went through paypal report it to paypal!

Just tell them what you posted here. More information the better. You could also try contacting the law enforcement guys in the city the person lives in (sorry, but don't be surprised if the address & name are false).

 

i sent in a money order and my friend from CO sent in one also... one for 300 and the other for 180.... any more suggestions... anyone live in so cal?
