Is the new design G sedan to be faster or just feels like faster(more responsive)?
Is the new design G sedan to be faster or just feels like faster(more responsive)?
I have the old design of G35 coupe year 2007. The service last time, I got a loaner of new design G35/G37 sedan. I gave it a try, it seems like more power/torque to me. Or probably since it's not my car, I gave too much gas that I don't normally do that to my car. Or it seems like more responsive?
I checked the factory spec numbers, the new design of sedan should have around the same number of torque as the old design of coupe(newer years). Any one have same experience and know the reason?
Thanks.

It's more on paper, plus the new car is based off of the new ratings. I don't think Infiniti used the new system for rating power on the 1st gens, but i could be wrong.

For my understanding, once the VQ35HR motor came out Nissan used the new and more strict SAE guidelines to determine hp/tq. IIRC, it's estimated that if these standards were used on the DE engine the actual crank HP would be 15-20 less.
I wish the G35 coupe would have gotten the HR motor like the Z did.. That would have been KILLER!

Yeah maybe, same concept applies though. Old SAE vs New SAE guidelines.
