INFINITI SUCKS

Re: INFINITI SUCKS
This is a good time to jump in.... People are always saying how Ford sucks!
Back in the day when I bought my explorer, I didn't have it a week and the hood had horrible acid rain cuts in the paint.
I took it back and asked if this could be buffed out. They tried free of charge, and when that didn't work they gave me two options, a factory baked hood painted, or they could repaint in the shop.
I took the factory option, and sitting in my drive right name, that old ford's paint looks like new!
Infiniti should make it right!

consumer services
I had a 2003 I35 prior to my G35. Suffice it to say I had problems from the night I purchased the I35. Consumer Services played the game but did not go the extra mile. After the factory rep told the dealer how to fix the car, he split without ever driving it. The problem was better but not gone. Consumer Services would not let the Engineer look at it again and forced me to BBB arbitration. I had a service order from the dealer that stated that the problems addressed in this vehicles history on numerous occassions still exists. Problem was front end vibration. The BBB arbitrator had a medical condition that caused his hands to shake badly (like Parkinsons Syndrome) and he did not feel the vibration. Dealer still says the car is defective, but theu took it back on trade and cut me a good deal on any car I wanted, my 2004 G35 Sedan. I still lost money and corporate won't help to this day. They should be renamed, "Consumer, we don't care services." So, while I love my G35, I dislike the way Infiniti corporate does business. See the thread "consumer Services" if you have any other issues to post.

ryguy- i had the same exact blemish on the driverside rear quarter panel. I brought in the car the next day and they buffed it out.. it was definitely a blemish on the clear coat and they took it right out. I didn't see them do it but most likely they used the most aggressive cut to take it out.

I was once looking for a new Mustang GT. I was at a dealer in Plantation Florida. I noticed what looked like rubbing compound inside the gas flap filler area. In really examining the car, I also noticed overspray on the exhaust system. They swear the car was never damaged. I left that dealer in a hurry. Car dealers are like ******, they perform while they are making money. Once you have paid...well, guess you are holding your own!

man I feel your pain.... and nothing makes that better. But do keep in mind - that inspection is the better part of a buy. and the paint and body are normally the reason.
I inspected the hell out of mine before accepting delivery.
I would suggest the likely solution though.
If you had to take it to different light to see it, it may simply need a good body guy to buff it, fog a clear coat and poslih. I sure hope that gives you right look.

Can body paint be considered in the Lemon Law if it had blemishes that were not
factory spec?
I know it is not out of the ordinary for dealers to repair bodywork when cars arrive
damaged...but it should be within factory specs where a typical customer would not
be able to tell the difference. Ive had cars in the past where I bought brand new
and one of the door moldings was not factory paint and it was repaired. an ordinary
Joe would not be able to tell, but anyone that have dealt with paint would know it's
not factory paint.

here is my experience with my 03 g35c (32,000kms)
-rear end replaced (21,000kms)
-both front wheel bearings (12,000kms)
-both front tires 7000km
-pads and rotors - front and rear (18,000kms)
-drivers window motor (7,000 and 31,000)
-wiper motor and arms. (31,000kms)
The dealer has had the car more than I have. Infiniti Canada is a big waste of time. Lots of legal bull**** and no quick results.

Sorry to hear about your ride, but you are not comprehending something very basic. It is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to inspect the car fully before taking absolute delivery of the car.
Waiting 6 days to complete inspection completely screwed your chances of getting what you want out of the situation. If you can spend $35,000 on a car, you can spend 35 minutes looking it over on day 1. I am not coming down on you, but just think about their side of it.
Now, if they actually had recorded this damage on their own, before selling the car, it should be fixed. Otherwise you are up a creek.
And if Infiniti suck so bad, then why do they consistent rank atop most consumer satisfaction surveys?
If you sold your car to someone else, and they come back to you 6 days later wanting a respray of a panel, how would you know how legitimate their claim is? It works both ways.
Sorry to hear about your situation, hope the car works out well for ya!
