Noise coming from trans
ive noticed a weird nose coming from my trans in 1st and 2nd gears between 2-3k rpm range. Makes like a loud shutter noise. Also, while im moving if i hit the cluth and put it in neutral i can briefly hear it and i swear i keep seeing the oil indicator come on for a second when i put the clutch in. not sure if thats related. I know I have an aftermarket flywheel and clutch im just not sure what brand as thats how i bought the car. another thing ive also noticed recently is when im at red lights and go to put it in first it does not want to go in to gear. i have to push the clutch in and out a few times before it will go in and shifting has been a lot more rough. Anyone have an helpful ideas/suggestions? Thanks.

Check out the TSB for oil consumption. You might need to start tests to see if the engine is burning oil. I just had my transmission swapped for a new one under warrenty because it failed. From what I'm gathering these are common issues. Keep in mind a lightened fly wheel will chatter at low rpm if you did not allow for a break in peroid.

yea my trans was already swapped out once under warranty. I dont know how long the flywheel has been in there because im not the one who had it put in the first owner did. it does have chatter and as since the day I got it, but this is a new noise. Im ordering an OEM flywheel tonight and going to have it installed. hopefully this solves the problem.
