Headlight recall

I have an '07 coupe sport package w/ xenons and was reading on here about a headlight recall. Do I qualify for the recall? If so, do they completely change out the whole headlight assembly? Also, what is the OEM temp on the xenon bulbs, 4300K? Thanks

Best to call your dealer and ask. They'll check your VIN to see if your car is affected.

Give your service advisor at the dealership a call, and have them pull up the service history on your G's VIN.

And yes, OEM HIDs are 4300K.

I have an 06 and had that headlight recall done couple weeks ago. They change out the whole assembly, so you get brand new headlights. I think it had something to do with the position of the lights itself...

I called my dealership and they said that theres no recall for headlights on g35. They sounded like they were lying. but they did tell me they have airbag recalls on my 07 model plus a seatbelt connector?.

When I took my 06 coupe 6mt to the dealership for oil consumption. They did my airbag recall and headlights recall. Try another dealership to see if they can help you out.

I thought the recall was just for 06' models, they recalled those, and the headlights were then fixed the following production year. I could be wrong though. ( I don't think they would get away with multiple years of faulty headlights )

I think it is how the headlights is positioned to where the light is shinning out. It is either too low or too high. I really didn't pay too much attention to what they were telling me, all I cared about was getting new headlights and more concerned about the oil consumption issue. I got my recall done at Kearny Mesa Infiniti. Give them a call and I am sure that they can explain more indepth.

Looks like the headlight recall is for 06 and 07s, are there any exceptions or do all 06 & 07 fall into this category?
