Question Kuruma Z - Drop, Ride Quality?

I'm picking up the Kuruma Z front and Impul sides.

I've been through a lot of the threads and I'm wondering what everyone suggests for a suspension setup with the Kuruma and Impul. I know the bumper and sides are really low so there isn't much room for a drop without scraping and bottoming out everywhere. I'm not sure if this is true but I've read that with the Kuruma Z anything more then a 1" drop is probably too much. Chances are that coilovers are probably the best solution but I'm not trying to spend a ton of cash for a 1" drop.

By the way, I'm on '05 stock 19's and will be keeping them or changing to volk 19's.

Let me know what you think, pics are always a help too!!

I would like to onow this too! Im going for the same combo + cs rear and am on 19s also but i think ill go back to 20s running beefy tires just to get the ride a little higher! About to get my dspec shocks in and would also want to know what springs to get! Ill surely gwt the stillen urethane splitters just for assurance or wait for arch to make ones!

im on stock susp. with oem 19's and kuruma. i usually scrape on slightly inclined driveways unless i go in at an angle. unlike the oem bumper where i could pull up to the curb or curb stop with the bumper overhanging the curb, i cant do that any longer with the kuruma. if you were to lower it another inch then you get the idea of what to expect. larger then average speed bumps might start affecting you then.

Can you post pics of your Kuruma on stock 19's with oem suspension?

I'm wondering if it is worth getting stiffer springs to help avoid some of the scraping, especially if a drop isn't necessary since the bumper is low as is.

sorry, i dont have any pics as of now but like frankie said, you'll be fine. its just something you need to always be aware of in the back of your mind. scrapes on the bottom cant be seen anyway unless you get down there to look at them. just dont pull up close to any curb stops. you'll be f'd then lol

Just be careful when you drive and you won't have to worry about scraping. So long as you don't hit a fkn rock in the street or pull up too close a curb, you'll be fine. I have scraped my Kuruma on the bottom a few times, but its going to happen.

I don't know the exact measurement of how low I went with my car, since I measure from ground to fender. My last measurement a few weeks ago was 24 1/2 inches ground to fender.

I have Kuruma/Impul/CS rear combo. Im on 350z S-techs and have no problem with driving. I can make it up just about any drive way and have no prob in LA with the worrible roads and parking structures.

But I have problems when I have other people park my car. Esp Valet in K-town, those idiots dont know how to drive cars. 350z S-techs are suppose to be about 1.2" drop but I would like to go lower. I say just get some Coilovers before you get the Kuruma and Impuls and learn to drive~

Henry can you post a pic of your car on the 350z s-techs? Are your volks 19's or 20's?

Anyone have a pic of Kuruma/Impul on stock 19's with oem suspension??

He has 19s^ . I would look up pics of his car for you but I'm on my iPhone. But I've seen his car in person, and he def has a good amount of ground clearance.
