Exclamation ABS/SLIP/VDC Lights on after SPC kit

Hey everyone I'm in need of some help here. My situation is I bought the new spc kit that comes with the arms and the parts that go between the wheel hub from THM moto, and went to a local so thought trusted performance shop here in Pensacola. Long story short the installation was horrible and when I received the car the the part that goes in to the left wheel hub was installed upside down so I rode with a major camber for couple days and all my lights were staying ON( i dont have breaks until i reach 35mph!)

The shop refuses to fix the problem and says I brought the kit with the box open so there was no warranty. I just want to have breaks again and fix this situation! I went to Nissan and we had the car on the lift. The tech looked where the abs sensors are and showed me the plate that the sensors were reading off of was very warped. When we went on a test drive he had his electronic device that showed the front wheels speed jump from 9 to 16 mph continuously where the rear would stay constant on a particular speed.

The tech told me it might not be my sensors and that it might be just the plates where the sensors read off of. What I need to know is what part do I need to buy in order to fix this very frustrating issue that I have right now with my car. What part of the car are those plates attached to that read off from the front sensors?? I would really appreciate any help!

My guess is that none of your sensors need replaced. I'd start by making sure your car is properly aligned in the rear. The shop probably f'ed up that when they mis-installed your camber arms.

How much are ABS sensors, and a typical install? My lights are going off too. That is my next option.

That shop sounds like they're a bunch of f***en retards. I guarantee they didn't use the provided washers that were supposed to be installed behind the sensors. I had the same problem at first but then my shop installed the spacers and everything worked fine. Most likely you will need to use 2 washers for each side.

Check this before you buy new sensors.

Yeah I'm pretty sure they brought that up to my attention and said were just going to use the stock washer....

I only have the arms installed on the car right now... Would you guys recommend installing all the parts first and then try to fix the problem?

The arms alone won't trip the VDC....etc. If a tech said you need new sensors then you probably do. You can still install all of the pieces if you want to. The shims might not be required, I'm dropped at least 1.5" in the front and was able to get the alignment well within specs using just the arms.

I only got the 350z Stechs doesnt seem too bad but the alignment guy told me is still not perfect and that it will wear out my tires....grrrrr

Right now all i have is the spc camber arms on both front and rear....Alignment people say its not good enough...any recommendations?

Whats the drop with those springs?

I still say find another shop unless your dropped more then 2" because then I'm not sure. I removed the shims and was still able to get -.02/.03 camber in the front, the rears were definitely not a problem. I can't access Imageshack but the below link has pics of my car so you can compare the drop. If your about the same height as me then you should not have any issues using the SPC camber kits. Hope that helps.

^From my experience I think you'll be fine without them. The important thing is finding a good alignment shop.

The ring that the sensor reads from seems to be damaged which is attached to the wheel bearing assembly. I can only see where the sensor has hit couple of times... Would you recommend changing out the sensors first ?? Did you look to see if your ring was messed up from where the sensors hit??

Same problem here.... damaged the ABS ring. does anyone know if you can actually change just the ABS ring or do you need to replace the whole hub?

Might have missed something but did you get a ABS sensor relocator bracket? (came with my SPC kit). If the sensor is not the correct distance away, your dash will light up like a XMAS tree.
