Polish them lol . You can use a aluminum polish like mothers , i like optimum metal polish however and a mothers powerball . If that doesnt help you will have to wetsand b4 polishing . I your not comfortable doing it take it to a rim place . Make sure they are polished though and have no clearcoat

The answer to your question depends on what rims you have and if they still have the clear coat. If you've had the clearcoat removed and wheels polished like I did you can use Mothers or Adams metal polish. If not you can use any cleaner wax after you've washed them....very good! They also sell Wheel Wax but I was never satisfied with the results.

Back in the day when I had a clear coat on my Volks I used Zymol cleaner wax with good results and was never satisfied with Wheel Wax!

If you have OE wheels chances are you have a clear coat. If you have aftermarket wheels and you haven't had them polished you should have a clearcoat. You do not want to use Mothers metal polish on wheels with a clearcoat or any other metal polish....you'll destroy the clearcoat.

How long your rims stay clean doesn't depend on what you clean them with but what kind of brake pads you're using. When I was running OE pads I couldn't drive 6 blocks without my rims being caked with black brake dust. So I switched to HAWK HP brake pads and I can drive all day without them being loaded up with dust. A good coat of wax will keep them looking nice once you've cleaned em....

A far better idea would be "Detail Spray" and your old "Honda" t-shirts....
