How to make my G a Z killer?
So heres the deal, my brother own a 2005 manual convertible Z. This is his pride and joy and I want to destroy it...Jokes!!! He car kicks *** with his injen exhuast, 5/16 plenum spacer, short ram CAI and to top that off an osiris tune. The car rocks for sure....But mine is not much slower. I'm running a 2005 6mt g35coupe with an HKS replica exhuast, MREV2(recent addition) and i'm looking to learn what is my next move. thoughts?

Your best way to beat him would be becoming a better driver than him. Or if you aren't interested in doing larger engine work or FI then shaving weight to at least get closer weight. But assuming you are equal drivers and equal mods he will beat you every time, but like I said at first it is close enough that if you are a better driver you will win.
edit: And don't even bother coming back if you are talking about racing on the streets

You can't drive, that's your problem.
His car weighs over 3600lbs(before his body weight) your car weighs 3400 before your body weight.
His car doesn't have much more power than yours if any at all.
Do your intake, do your plenum spacer, do HFCs and do some learning of the manual transmission.
I know for a fact, a good driver in a stock G35 will walk a decent driver in a Z coupe.
Edit;
Ohhh you're not talking about neck and neck racing. In that case, you're confused. The tune makes the car grab better and the shorter wheel base makes it feel like it's going faster.
My G feels slower than my Z, but I know for a fact my G will pull on my Z.

How serious are you about wanting to "destroy it"?
Here's my personal weapon of choice when someone thinks their car is fast:

You can pick one of these up for about what it costs to do a good forced induction setup on your G...and it gets 42 m.p.g., will run reliably beyond 100,000 miles, while being capable of 0-60 in less than three seconds.

I'm a big sportbike guy myself.. but comparing them to cars is very pointless.
