Leavin for Navy bootcamp tomorrow!!
you'll be fine. i've been in the marines for a little under four years now and its definitely been an experience. just do what you're told and try not to think much in everything that you do. what got me through boot was taking it one day at a time and one meal at a time.

no sign on bonus but i got the job i wanted and i wasn't gonna get stuck with something just so i could get a signing bonus, especially because almost no jobs give signing bonuses anymore
Honestly I had a good 8 years in the Navy and cant really complain.
Gay that you didnt get a bonus. They gave me 15k sign on bonus then another 45k bonus at my 2 year point.
I went in as an Enlisted Nuke, then did the STA-21 program and became a Intelligence Officer

yeah thats why, i could have gone nuke but i really didn't want to deal with the 2 year school even though i qualified and nowadays only nuke, eod, or the special warfare and seals get enlistment bonuses
When I went through boot camp they'd punch you in the face for fvcking up. Now they do the equivalent of putting you in time out.
It shows in a lot of the people we get these days.
I've been at this a long time though. Probably time to retire. LOL.
Good luck with it man. I've had a good time.
good choice, boot camp is easy it's just long and boring and they like to play games i wanted to be a marine but after working with them for a while no thanks, their goodguys they just have to deal with a lot of b.s. a lot f.f. games anyways don't party too much in "A" school.
If you can pass basic knowledge test about Navy history and put up with other peoples mess ups eventually effecting yourself, that's what you'll have to deal with and being treated like a no body in thr first 2 weeks. Just wait till the drill instructors make it rain on you. That will be fun
You will survive through everything else. I'll tell you being in the navys an honor. I've been deployed on the USNS Comfort out to Haiti for the Earthquake relief taking care of patients with injuries you wouldn't see in your everyday normal life and you just apreciate the little things more after being away from home. You'll like it alot though depending on your rate (job) Choose you're rate choose your fate...
