Another thing in my opinion if you do get the 06 get rid of that body kit. Get the stock sport package or a Nismo front bumper with the same money you make selling the body kit

nope I don't think so. My friend has a 370z and the rev matching is a really nice feature to have.

^Its the same engine, I'm pretty sure both are equiped with rev-matching. The Infiniti site is blocked on my server so I can't look it up.

I just looked it up the 7 speed auto has some kind of downshifting rev matching when using the manual mode. 6 speed manual doesn't have any

man, theres really not that much of a difference, really just headlights and tail lights are the two main ones. both 05 and 06 are revups if they are manual. I'd personally take the 06 because you'll have warranty for 1 extra year.

also, how is this guy replacing the clutch already, its got 30K miles on it and it has a new clutch?

Both. You can go to the delership and have the OC test done.

Personally, I would go for the newer of the two. Not a big fan of that dody kit though.

OC test, is that oil consumption test?

how much does the cost normally run?

06 was probably beat on, with that many mods...
Go with the 05, and take pride in the fact that you have a "unique" G35: 06 and over interior and engine, 04 and under exterior.

EDIT: The clutch changing of the 05 is really odd... My car has 68k miles and the clutch is still working without flaw.
Did the dealership it is currently at change the clutch? Or did the last owner have to change it?
Sometimes dealerships change out the clutch if it seems like it needs it in the slightest bit, after their multi-point inspection. They also usually change the tires.

I'd be a little concerned that the '05 needed a new clutch at 30K miles. Sounds like the previous owner probably beat the **** out of it or was a real crappy manual tranny driver.

A clutch typically lasts a lot longer than 30K miles unless it's driven in stop-and-go traffic constantly or is raced regularly.

30K miles is really low for an '05... so the previous owner probably didn't use it as their only means of transportation or a pure daily driver... most likely it was just a toy for him/her or a second car to flash around in and drive hard or beat on when the weather is nice or for weekend driving and racing.

Just to give you an idea of how low that millage is for an '05.... my 2004 G35 Coupe is one of 2 cars that I own and split time in, and I also have 2 motorcycles that I usually drive one of whenever it's nice out. My commute to work is only about 6 miles each way, and I've still managed to put 40K miles on my car since new despite splitting time with all those other vehicles, only driving the G35 between April and November(I store it for the winter months), and only driving it on the nice weather days that I decide to not take one of the motorcycles out instead.
