burning clutch

a questoin... i was going up a hill and there was a stop sign, so i stopped, waiting for traffic to clear to make my right turn, and i turned right but had to do it quickly and i was rolling back a little b/c it was a steep hill, and someone my foot got stuck on the clutch like halfway down (as i tried to release it) while i was stepping on the gas like halfway down, and i didnt realize this until i turned already and i was like damn how did i foot get stuck on the clutch (for like 2-3 seconds) and after that i smell burnt rubber... so i was wondering what kind of damage i did, b/c the smell was strong and i went easy on the car but i could smell it for the next half our or so...

do you think i should get it checked out? this was the first time its happened, i dont race or do burnouts and etc... and i never ride the clutch as i'm driving

my first car i did this too and could smell burning rubber (when i first started driving) and the smell would go away and the car would drive fine, but i know it defintely wore out the clutch faster... so i'm just worried about what happened to my G... let me know what your suggestions are, thanks.
