I am a Shanghaiese. Hope to know someone else who is a shanghaiese or has been to Shanghai and also own a G.

 

Was in Shanghai in July. Saw China in 1988 and 2004. What a change. Stayed at the Westin. The Rolls Royce dealership was attached. They were parking Porsche's in front of the Hotel to sell them.
I only had two days in Shanghai. Did Beijing, Xian. Chongching to Wuhan on the Yhangzie then Shanghai. Bought a kite on the Bund. Bought a Dark Blue G35 Coupe in August. Most fun I've had driving!

I just went to China for 3 weeks....Shanghai, Kunming, Dali, Lijiang, Xian, and Beijing.

What did you think of Xian? Besides the Terra Cotta Warriers, the town doesn't have much to see, IMO. The buildings are all run down. Our hotel was rated 4 stars, but that was probably 40 years ago when it was new. It was surrounded by auto mechanics!

I have been to Shanghai many times. I bought my G35MT in April and spent two weeks in China in May, three weeks in August and will probably return in November. I have seen many BMW's in China but never an Infiniti.

 

I will be there next month! First time there and looking forward to it!

Stayed at the Hyatt in Xian - First Class. I liked the walk after breakfast around the walled city. Lots of good pictures of everyday life. Saw some white dogs, food served on the street, open air butcher shops etc. Check a few of the pictures if you'd like. We got the trip to the Laquer furniture and clay doll factory sales tour -ugh!
The Warrior stuff was neat but I wondered if it was all a hoax to get tourist dollars;^). I amused myself by figuring out how they'd do it! Just kidding!
