I need advice
I purchased a long block from a very reputable company.( I wont say names because i want to be fair to them and their explanation.) I spent well over 10k. i received the motor back in may, and they just recently decided to send me my build sheet and my paid in full receipt after months of kicking and screaming for it.
I start looking at the build sheet and it states stock compression when i was very clear that i wanted low compression do to me running a turbo. The pistons were not the ones they stated that i would receive nor were the rods, both are cheaper than the ones that were supposed to come with the motor. I was supposed to have a five angle valve job with titanium retainers, locators ,and keepers , and on the build sheet they don't even mention it.
I spoke to the person that was in charge of my build , and explained to him how i made it clear via e-mail, and phone i wanted low compression pistons and he told me that he would contact me with in a few days. That was 3 weeks ago. Not even realizing that i had the wrong parts put in my motor.
Im not a mechanic and i'm not as knowledgeable when it comes to engines, and he was well aware of that. Prior to me paying for the motor he was very kind and patient, but now i feel like every time i call that i am annoying him.
I am ready to take legal actions towards the company, but should i let him try to fix the issue? Deep inside i feel like he is aware of what they have done, and he was just hoping that i would not realize. By the way i'm from N.Y and he is located in cali so i would not be so easy just to rectify the problem.
Any advice would be deeply appreciated.

He knows he's screwed you, he's just surprised you caught it. He's buying time to figure out an excuse, call him and keep the pressure on, I've dealt with a lot of shady shops before, and mechanics are some of the shadiest mother ****ers you'll ever meet. You need to be blunt and honest.
I'd call him and be straight forward, tell him you want the engine you paid and waited for or you will be taking legal action.

+1 As long as you have everything documented I don't see a problem with pursuing this to the fullest. Hopefully the shop will step up soon, but if you don't start seeing some results, you should definitely contact the BBB and initiate legal action.
Uhmmm you spent money on something and didn't get the correct thing and if you can't get in contact with him and/or he won't fix it then it is an obvious question.
ps. you drive an infiniti not infinity

Yes i do. i have a 2003 g35 coupe. I am so annoyed i worked hard for the money to finally get the motor and now this.
I have every document and receipt.
You might as well put the shop name up. Its not like one thing was wrong they cut corners it seems alot. Thats no good for the g community and as far as i know theres not many sponsors that sell engine builds on here. 10k is enough to get the name we cry scammer on less then 100 dollar things.

Reading comprehension..
You seem to have spent a lot of money already but if it was me and i wasnt getting a response i would have already taken legal action, I might have even flown my azz out there and taken personal action with that amount of money involved. I fu*kin hate people that do this dumb shi*t.
