interior aluminum trim

hey guys ,

do you ever find this piece annoying ? do you just rip it off ? im talking about the piece between the upper dashboard and the lower one . mine keeps coming out .

picture for reference ( not my car ) , it's gone in this picture or he painted it black ? i dont know




so what do you guys do with it ?

Can't see pic, but I'm guessing 3M-tape or some sort of adhesive should work.

Have you used the back of a soft material, such as a small and hard rubber piece to snap it back in. Mine kept coming off when I had the XM radio installed inside that little cubby hole to keep it hidden away. I forced it back into place using a stiff probe with a small head. It should snap back in easily if you place the snaps in their correct location. If all else fails, a tiny amount of auto or house Goop hidden in the back of the piece will usually do the trick.

Tell whoever's car that is that they have a really cheap double din dash kit and the trim and buttons look ridiculous.

sorry guys , guess i wasn't specific enough . what i meant is the aluminum trim as pointed out by the arrows

....^....that's about the best advice any of us could give you with that strip. All else fails, "Super Glue" carefully in small quanities....
