My car just started doing this and im not sure why. My driver side only. It will not lower that inch or so that it does when i open the door but all my controls work if i want to lower my window or pick it back up. Just when i open the door it will not lower like it should anyone can help? thanks for all help...

 

Your window motor is failing. I have the same problem.

 

reset your window limit switch and see how that goes... search for the thread.

 

Dude my passenger side window did that and it would not roll back up. I had to take the door apart to manually push it up before I deployed so my wife could drive it too. I highly recommend you do not roll it back down. Take to a shop and get it fixed. Otherwise you might have to put plastic in the window! YUCK!

dont waste ur time reseting it jus repplace the motor or atleast get ready to so when u do the reset and nothings fixed u have the motor on hand to replace instead of breaking things apart multiple times.

 

well my window works great besides when i get out of the car it will not lower that half an inch or whatever its supposed to do... If it was my motor wouldnt it have trouble lowering when i push the button? also if i lower the window and try to pick it up with the 2 clicks and it goes up by its self it will get all the way up then lower like half way down for some reason but if i hold the button to pick it up once it gets to the top it stays?? hopefully its not confusing lol. PLEASE HELP!!!

 

oh sounds like u jus need a reset then if it still goes up and down with a push of the button all the time
