It's some kind of RL policy if he doesn't pays or can't be contacted they put collection on customer, he also has an account with RL.

That's copmpletely retared!
If thats legal to transfer debt to other cust that's pretty jacked up.
Doesn't make me want to ever use them.

your contract was with R1, not R&L...even if they take you to small claims, I think you're covered.

The debt should not be yours unless you contacted R&L to arrange the shipping yourself. If R1 made the arrangements then its on his head no matter what they say.

Besides, how bad is a business that they will ship something WITHOUT HAVING BEEN PAID FOR THE SERVICE FIRST? Gimme a break.
