Re: Gearbox / shifter
It's the gearbox/drivetrain setup. It is a more direct linkage. The shift **** will vibrate more as rpm's increase. It's just the way it is, there isn't anything you can do about it, unfortunately.
When driving around, "proper 6MT etiquette" dictates that you are not supposed to have your hand on the shift **** unless you are making a shift. Or at least if you like to hold the shift **** to use the vibrating shift **** to your advantage (feel out engine revs instead of looking at the tach all the time) try not to put too much pressure on the shift ****. When the shfit **** is in gear, you can still wiggle it around JUST a tiny bit...let the shifft **** remain in its exact position...when you put pressure on it, it actually puts unecessary wear on the gears over time.
And yes, if you keep your hand held on the shift **** tightly while taking the car to redline, it will make your hand sore. Like I said, always try not to put a lot of pressure on the shift ****, whether you're shifting or not. Let the gearbox do the work, not your hand.

Re: Gearbox / shifter
I posted the same issue a while ago ... Our gearbox sucks in my opinion, I just can't believe how bad it is .... A couple of years of shifting and you'll get Parkinsons !!! BMW and Honda have a MUCH better manul than us .... It's sad but I think it's the truth ... For a $40k sports car the shifter is totally unacceptable.
Re: Gearbox / shifter
doesnt bother me any.... heck i kinda like the vibration and being able to feel the road and my car engine with my hand.... im also a kid and think that suspension that throws u around the car and is bouncy as hell is also acceptable
