Clutch or Transmission?
So I was driving one night and accidently shift from 5th to 3rd by accident when I was trying to switch to 6th.. and realized I killed my cluch during the process... now I smell a horrible burnt clutch smell at times... I also realized there is a lag when on my RPM around 2500RPM (I would shift to higher gear and when it reaches to about 2500 -2700 RPM it lags a bit -idle-). I am not sure what is wrong. Is this a transmission or clutch issue? Or is it something else that could have caused the RPM do to that...
Help please

I was wondering the same thing.. must have been a brain fart, thinking 6th, but somehow just went to 3rd.

So i took it to a shop and they say its probably transmission also. The thing is I want a 2nd opinion at another shop.
Every gear seems to engage slowly. For example, if im at first, my RPM will go up but my speed will not. Very hard for me to accelerate when shifting into gear.
I do not want to spend an arm or a leg for a new transmission if that is the case and also the clutch will probably expensive to begin with so I need to diagnosis this correclt.y
Thanks for any feedback.
