Thinking about giving up the G : (((
Thinking about giving up the G : (((
after 7 months and 11k miles later, not to mention a new trans, clutch and flywheel im considering giving up the G because of the payment. Thing is, the car Im considering a 2011 Sentra SE R spec V is $33 cheaper a month. Worth giving up my G?? im also in the process of oil consumption tests and my trans started making a weird noise the other day. im sick of riding around dealer to dealer because of all my problems. Also, when stopping I hear a loud knocking noise in the front of the car that I can feel in the floor. So fed up with everything. I LOVE my G and cant imagine what getting rid of it is gonna be like. Im thinking between the saved money on the payment, gas, having a brand new car that is essentially worry free because of being completely covered under warranties may make it worth it. Just looking for some support and opinions as to what you other G lovers think....
Yes but, the Sentra is butt ugly and slow....they're not very comfortable inside either. One of my school buddies bought one ('07) and absolutely nothing felt right about the car....i'm sure they've changed things since then but....
my car is fairly new and i feel the knocking noise that i feel at my feet as well. it happened after i dropped my car but i still have no idea what it is. did it a couple times this week but not recently :knocking on wood:

$33 less on monthly payment is not worth it. The big thing is the gas. The G takes too much gas, 15MPG local driving, maybe a lil more but not much, 17MPG is enough to make me happy. If you trade the G for another car, Lexus IS250 should be next. Maybe the monthly payment is the same but you should save the money on gas. But idk, everyone has different thinking. It's up to you OP.
You've never stated what year G you have. How many miles are on it? Are you the second or third owner? Do you know who owned the car before you? The knocking vibration when stopping (braking) sounds like warped rotors.
$33 might not seem much, but dumping his "lemon" would save him thousands more. All the trips to the dealership when he could be at work instead. Why bother with all the problems when he can dump the "lemon" and buy a more reliable car?
Seems like he's having a lot of problems with his car. And if it's his ONLY car, I would get rid of it and get something reliable.
edit: Sounds like he wants a Nissan Altima. LOL. Not much of trade off there. Don't those thing run the same engine? I would get something else.

I just did engine trans clutch flywheel and another clutch and flywheel this year and I paid for it all out of pocket. You gotta love this car to keep. But mine is an 03 and paid off already 75K in miles.
Sounds like you bought this one late with high miles, I wouldn't do that on this car unless I was getting it for cheap like 10k cheap.
