Legalizing a skyline
I never thought of that. well actually i did lol buttttt its a lot of trouble just to get anything at mine so i figured id avoid as much frustration as possible - but it seems thats what i shall have to do!
Unfourtionately, on forums where people have never done it themselves, they just have "a friend of a friend of a friend" or "i knew a guy" you're going to get 30 different answers, and there's still a chance that none of the answers you get will be correct. Suck it up, go to the DMV, don't let them push you away until they've answered all of your questions. We all hate going there, but unless you can find someone on here, or another forum, who has done it THEMSELF, you will just keep getting "the run around" with answers....simple, not so quick fix, go to the dmv.
next off day: i will be at the dmv. should prove to be nothing short of exciting there lol getting answers hopefully. will they be what i want to here not necessarily but hopefully. will there be some of the strangest people in there with questions that pertain to the list of common questions outside the doors - DEFINITELY lol
A buddy of mine owns a R33 and drives it legally. Ill ask what process he used at the local DMV but i do know that he brought some documents to them and also had the title. Ill also throw it out there that he converted a US 240 into a right hand drive with no problems from the local authorities when its inspection time.
The shop that he works at has helped guys in the Philippines convert their skylines to left hand drive using 240 parts. Im not too sure exactly what they used but they did a few over there.
Or u could go the illegal route. I wont post it unless u ask. Its kinda easier than u think. And no ur not gona have to steal anything from anyone. But ill hint that the answer to that is in one of the pics posted in this thread.

without the title and the deregistration papers you cannot legally register the car. Also, because the car was never actually imported to the US, its not US legal and would need ALOT of things converted in order to make it legal. It would be cheaper and better just buying an R35 then to try to register the R32. If you are still serious about registering the car, consider this:
Legal way = $$$$$
Illegal way = $$$ + HUGE RISK if you get caught
Likely if you get caught, the car will be impounded and crushed/destroyed. If you think its still worth it, more power to you

You might want to think of it like building a street rod or homade trailer. Basicly you show recipts for all major components, take it to the DMV/Highway Patrol for a saftey inspection, and they issue a "builders title". The street rod comunity in your state may have some insight.
