Thanks fastgkid. We fixed the problem. The rubber piece under the oil cap was trapped inbetween the gasket and the cover. So you were correct! air leak! Heres a pic for people if they stumble upon the same problem

i didn't run into that problem. I also installed my MREV and plenum today. One of my coolant valves wasn't connected and it started leaking smoking underneath my hood. If you ever smell a fruity odor with white smoke it is coolant. Anyways got it solved and MREV2+5/16 spacer gave me noticeable gains in the mid range. It did make the engine sound a little more aggressive.

^^ Agree installed my MREV and spacer the other day, I thought it was gonna be harder then it actually was. Also noticed the gains on the ol butt dyno. Very happy with it.

Yea once I figured the problem I felt like an idiot as it was pretty obvious if I would have looked closer...
I purchased the 5/16 copper iso thermal spacer and only had time to install everything but the copper throttle body piece, as you can see I ran into problems late last night. But after driving it around last night and today it is definitely noticeably more aggressive sound and can notice low-mid range power increase. Well worth the upgrade.
Also, on a side note motordyne's customer service is great as I had a question about installing the copper throttle body piece so I gave their tech support line a call today and talked to them and they gave me a bunch of great info/more detailed instructions on how to install that part.

I've got to check on that. I ran into a problem after installing my lower intake manifold. Losing a lot of coolant in just one day. Checked for leaks and there are none. Had a compression leak test done and everything was fine. Could be a blown head gasket? Anyone got any ideas? Theres no smoke from the tail pipes. Im also getting sweet odor smell which hasn't gone away. and theres some audible hissing noise from my rear end.

Are you using a torque wrench? And in the correct units, ft lbs vs in lbs.... Should not be snapping the plenum bolts off. Did you use any sealer when putting the spacer in? What brand spacer?? Details.
